Mayor O’Connell to Celebrate Transportation Program Milestone

Mayor O’Connell celebrates the 300th bus shelter and passage of Choose How You Move program.

Mayor Freddie O’Connell will celebrate the unanimous passage of the Choose How You Move transportation program by the Metro Council and the opening of the 300th bus shelter at a media roundtable on Friday. The event will take place at the Bordeaux Library, located at 4000 Clarksville Pike, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The roundtable will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new WeGo bus shelter, situated across the street from the library at the intersection of Clarksville Pike and Fairview Drive. Following this, a ceremonial bill signing will be held inside the Bordeaux Library. Mayor O’Connell will be joined by Vice Mayor Angie Henderson, several Metro Council members, and community members for the celebration.

Media representatives are advised to park at the Bordeaux Library and carefully cross the street to the bus shelter. The event is expected to conclude by 11:00 a.m.
