The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced a series of roadwork projects scheduled in West Tennessee from June 5 to June 12, 2024. The work will involve both daytime and nighttime lane closures to facilitate repairs and new installations across various locations in Region 4. These activities will impact multiple counties, and motorists are advised to plan accordingly.

**District 47**

**Dyer County**

– **SR-20**: Temporary lane closures due to bridge repairs on US 412 (SR 20) over the North Fork Forked Deer River. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction and a 5’ shoulder. The speed limit is reduced to 55 MPH.

– **SR-181**: Resurfacing from SR 104 to the Lake County Line will cause temporary lane closures.

– **SR-104**: Resurfacing from Chic Road to SR 181 will result in temporary lane closures.

– **SR-181**: Resurfacing from Lauderdale County Line to SR 104 will cause lane closures.

**Gibson/Carroll County**

– **SR-76 (US-79)**: Multiple construction activities, including grading, drainage, and paving on US 79 (SR 76) from Cades-Atwood Road to SR 77, will result in temporary lane closures. Barker Road remains permanently closed, and detours are in place.

**Obion County**

– **Future I-69 (Phase 3)**: SR 690 (Future I-69) is now open, with speed limits reduced to 45 mph in southbound lanes. Construction on closed ramps continues.

**District 48**

**Crockett County**

– **US-412 (SR-20)**: Resurfacing with hot-in-place recycling from Birmingham/Lyons Road to US-79 (SR-76) will cause lane closures. One lane will remain open at all times.

**Haywood County**

– **I-40**: Nightly lane closures from June 17 to June 26 for resurfacing work between SR19 and Hawkins Lane.

– **SR 179**: Resurfacing with Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) from US70 (SR1) to SR76 will cause lane closures. One lane will remain open at all times.

– **SR 222**: Lane closures from March 25 to June 24 for work from north of Stanton Somerville RD to the Haywood County Fire Station entrance.

**Madison County**

– **US412 (SR20/Parkway)**: Temporary lane closures from I-40 to US70 to repair damaged asphalt.

**District 49**

**Fayette County**

– **SR-196**: Daily lane closures from SR-193 to U.S. 64 (SR-15) for pavement repairs using flagger operations.

**Lauderdale County**

– **US-51 (SR-3)**: Lane closures at the Curve-Nankipoo Rd. intersection for improvement work. Speed limit is reduced to 55 MPH.

– **US-51 (SR-3)**: Lane closures from the Tipton County Line to SR-19 for resurfacing work. At least one lane in each direction will remain open.

– **SR-19**: Resurfacing work causing lane closures from US-51 (SR-3) to Near Eastland Avenue.

**Shelby County**

– **I-40**: Nightly lane closures from Wolf River MM 11.2 to Sycamore View Road MM 12.6 for resurfacing. One lane will remain open at all times. Intermittent ramp closures with detours.

– **SR-3**: Nightly lane closures from Babe Howard Blvd. to the Tipton County line for resurfacing. One lane will remain open at all times.

– **SR-14 (Austin Peay Highway)**: Shoulder and lane closures for widening and other construction activities. Intermittent closures on Tracy Rd, Mulberry Rd, and Gragg Rd with detours.

– **SR-385**: Lane closures from April 24 through May 1 for new cable barrier rail installation. Only one lane will be closed at a time.

– **I-240 at Exit 23 (Airways Blvd)**: Temporary lane closures through June 1 for safety and drainage improvements. At least one lane will remain open.

– **SR-177 over Wolf River**: Nightly lane closures for bridge repair from 7 PM to 6 AM. One lane will remain open in each direction.

– **I-55/Crump**: Ongoing construction with lane width restrictions and detours posted for hydro-demolition and deck repair work.

– **SR-57 (Poplar Ave.)**: Nightly lane closures for resurfacing from Poplar View Pkwy to Eastly Rd.

– **SR-175 (Shelby Drive)**: Nightly lane closures for resurfacing and safety improvements from Lamar Ave (SR-4) to Riverdale Rd.

– **Shady Grove Rd. Bridge over I-240**: Lane and shoulder closures for bridge repairs until August 30. Double lane closures on I-240 on June 5-6 and June 7 as backup.

– **Various Routes**: Intermittent lane closures for curb ramp installation on several routes including 3rd Street, 2nd Street, Walnut Grove Road, US 51, and Navy Rd.

– **SR-23 (Walnut Grove Rd)**: Nightly lane closures for resurfacing from Poplar Ave to I-240. One lane will remain open in both directions.

**Tipton County**

– **US-51 (SR-3) at the intersection of Kenwood Avenue**: Temporary lane closures for safety improvements. At least one lane in each direction will remain open.

**TDOT District 49 On-Call Concrete Pavement Repair in Shelby County**

– **I-40**: Concrete pavement repair will close the two right lanes on eastbound I-40 at North Watkins Street from May 31 to June 3. Detours will be provided.

**Non-TDOT Work**

– **SR-177 (Germantown Road)**: Long-term lane closures for widening and intersection improvements. Additional lane closures on Wolf River Blvd. at SR-177.

Road Construction on SR 60 in Bradley County
