Detectives Seek Public Help to Identify Stabbing Suspect

Detectives are investigating a stabbing incident at an Exxon gas station and seeking public assistance.

Hermitage Precinct detectives are currently working to identify a suspect involved in a stabbing incident that occurred on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Exxon gas pumps located at 2664 Smith Springs Road.

The incident took place when the 29-year-old victim was refueling his vehicle. The suspect approached him from behind and stabbed him in the head and neck area. The victim, who managed to fight off the attacker, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently transported to a hospital. According to the victim, the suspect did not communicate with him or attempt to steal anything.

The suspect arrived on foot from a nearby wooded area and lingered briefly in front of the business before approaching the victim. After the attack, the suspect fled on foot back into the wooded area.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Authorities have released a surveillance photo of the suspect and are asking anyone who recognizes him to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

Arrest of Convicted Felons for Elm Hill Pike Incident
