Detectives Seek Help in Identifying Three Persons in Teen Shooting

Police request community assistance to identify three individuals for questioning in a fatal teen shooting.

Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Justin Robinson. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Madison Park on North Dupont Avenue.

Robinson was in the park with a teenage friend when an argument ensued with at least two other young men. As Robinson and his friend attempted to leave the scene, shots were fired at them. Robinson was struck in the back while running away. His friend, who was also armed, returned fire. A passerby, noticing Robinson had been shot, transported both teenagers to Skyline Medical Center. The friend’s firearm was later recovered by the police.

Investigators believe the unknown shooter resides in the Madison Park area, as he fled the scene on foot and no vehicle was involved. Photos of the three individuals present during the shooting have been released to the public.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals in the photos is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
