Suspect in February Shooting Arrested in Atlanta

Devin Lauderdale, suspect in a February shooting, has been arrested in Atlanta.

A man wanted for a February shooting that injured a man on Hillview Heights is now in custody in Atlanta. Devin Lauderdale, 25, of Georgia, was identified by Specialized Investigations detectives as one of two men involved in the February 7 gunfire that struck a man non-critically in his hip and arm near 8th Avenue South.

Lauderdale was the passenger inside a Hyundai Elantra as it approached the victim, who was walking home from work. The driver exited the Elantra and chased the victim before firing at him. Lauderdale then jumped into the driver’s seat and fled once the shooter returned to the Elantra.

The investigation is ongoing into the gunman responsible. Lauderdale will be returned to Nashville soon, where he is charged with attempted criminal homicide.

Police Seek Help Identifying Garage Suspects

Detectives are seeking public assistance to identify three suspects who fired at a security guard after being confronted while breaking into cars in a Demonbreun Street parking garage on May 20th; the suspects were captured on surveillance video and the guard was unharmed.
