Man Arrested for November 2023 Fatal Shooting in Hermitage

Nakelvious Featherston, 27, arrested on first-degree murder indictment for fatal Hermitage shooting.

Specialized Investigations Division TITANS detectives have arrested Nakelvious Featherston, 27, a convicted felon on probation, on a first-degree murder indictment. The arrest is in connection to the fatal shooting of Anthony Barksdale, 19, which occurred on November 19, 2023, at an apartment complex on Oakwell Farms Lane in Hermitage.

Barksdale was arriving at an apartment building when a gunman suddenly appeared and opened fire. The gunman chased Barksdale to the front door of the apartment and continued shooting as the victim attempted to flee. An investigation led by Detective Kevin Guyton identified Featherston as the suspect in this targeted shooting.

Featherston was arrested without incident at an apartment complex on Mountain Valley Drive in West Nashville. He has previous convictions for aggravated burglary, facilitating attempted aggravated robbery, and evading arrest out of Rutherford County, and is currently on probation. Additionally, he faces pending charges in Nashville stemming from a January 2024 arrest for aggravated assault and unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon.

Arrest in Connection with April Homicide

Juan Miguel Pulido, 21, has been arrested in connection with the April 28th homicide of Francisco Almazan-Rojas in William Pitts Park. Pulido is suspected of driving a car involved in moving and abandoning Almazan-Rojas’ truck. He has been released on a $5,000 bond as detectives continue to search for the gunman and motive.
