Nashville Celebrates Transit Month with “Ticket to Ride” Event

Nashville's transportation organizations are hosting the 10th Annual Ticket to Ride event to celebrate Transit Month.

The Nashville Connector, along with various transportation organizations, is hosting the 10th Annual Ticket to Ride event on April 26, 2024, at 4 p.m. to celebrate Transit Month. The event will begin at Riverfront Station in Downtown Nashville and include a WeGo Star train ride to the Donelson Station.

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit booths hosted by event partners, network, and hear from leaders across the city’s transportation industry. Refreshments, speakers, and prizes will be part of the event. Pre-registration is required and can be done through Eventbrite.

Transit Month, which began as Transit Week in 2013 with a proclamation from Mayor Karl Dean, aims to promote the various transit and transportation options available for getting around Nashville. Ticket to Ride, a WeGo Star passenger rail excursion to Donelson, has been the flagship event of Transit Month since 2016.

The Nashville Connector is an initiative of the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT). To report non-emergency issues affecting Metro Nashville streets, residents can visit hub.nashville.gov.
