Man Charged with Assault After Unwanted Elevator Encounter

Jamien Taylor, 26, was arrested for assaulting and falsely imprisoning a woman in an elevator.

Nashville police have arrested Jamien Taylor, 26, after he allegedly followed a woman into an elevator near Public Square Park on April 4 and made unwanted sexual advances towards her. According to the victim, Taylor moved within inches of her and began telling her he was going to kiss her. She pushed him away and exited the elevator when the door opened.

Special Victims Division detectives identified Taylor from surveillance video and charged him with assault and false imprisonment. Additional video was located showing Taylor following other women, but no other victims have been identified at this time.
