A tragic incident occurred on Sunday night in Nashville, resulting in the death of a woman following a domestic-related shooting. The incident took place at approximately 8:40 p.m. inside an apartment located at 301 28th Avenue North. The victim, identified as 44-year-old Leslie Yount, was discovered by officers from the Midtown Hills Precinct with a gunshot wound to her abdomen.
Ray Greer, 64, who was present at the scene, admitted to shooting Yount during a dispute over money. Greer was apprehended and initially charged with attempted criminal homicide. Officials indicated that his charges are expected to be upgraded following Yount’s passing. Greer is currently detained and is being held on an $80,000 bond.

A tip to Nashville Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of Randy Brooks II, charged with the murder of Uriel Miller on I-40, after dashcam footage linked Brooks’ van to the crime.
