Upcoming Town Hall Meeting in Blackman Community

Murfreesboro officials to meet with Blackman Community on local projects.

The City of Murfreesboro is organizing a Town Hall Meeting for the residents of the Blackman Community on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The meeting will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Blackman United Methodist Church, located at 4380 Manson Pike in West Murfreesboro. This event aims to discuss various projects, programs, and activities within the area.

Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland, along with representatives from the city’s executive leadership team, will be present to engage with the community. They will address topics such as road and development projects, including the Veterans Park, the Blackman-Burnt Knob-Manson Pike intersection, and the widening of Medical Center Parkway.

The meeting is hosted by the Blackman United Methodist Church and the Blackman Community Club. Attendees will receive updates on parks, roads, and public safety projects. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for community members to ask questions. Recent decisions by the Murfreesboro City Council include approvals for the construction of parks and improvements to public safety, such as enhancements to Veterans Park, Old Fort Park, and the Blackman/Manson/Burnt Knob intersection, as well as the establishment of a Real Time Crime Center.
