Construction activities in West Tennessee scheduled for February 12-19, 2025, are expected to result in various lane closures across several counties. Projects will involve repairs and new installations on an as-needed basis throughout the 21 counties in Region 4.
In District 47, Carroll County will see lane closures on SR-76 (US-79) for grading, drainage, and paving work. Meadowbrook Lane and Big Buck Road remain closed with detours available. Improvements at the intersection of SR-22 and Clyde Road, as well as at Lexington Street, will also cause lane closures. In Dyer County, outside lane closures are expected for bridge inspections on SR-211 over the North Fork Forked Deer River. Lane closures will occur in both Carroll and Gibson Counties for work on SR-76 (US-79).
In Obion County, resurfacing on SR-22 and construction of turn lanes on US-51 (SR-3) will cause temporary lane closures. In District 48, bridge repairs on US-45 in Chester County will begin, with southbound traffic affected. Hardin County will experience lane closures on SR-128 over Pickwick Dam. Madison County will have lane closures on I-40 Eastbound for pavement repair.
District 49 will see ongoing projects in Fayette County on SR-222 and SR-76, with temporary lane closures. In Shelby County, lane closures will occur on SR-4, SR-14, and SR-23 for various construction activities, including road widening and paving. The Hernando DeSoto Bridge on I-40 will have lane closures for repairs. I-55 interchange modifications at E. H. Crump Blvd. will also cause lane closures with reduced speed limits. In Tipton County, lane closures on US-51 (SR-3) at Kenwood Avenue will allow for safety improvements.
Additional non-TDOT work in Shelby County includes long-term lane closures on SR-177 (Germantown Road) for widening and intersection improvements.
