Two Men Arrested Following Armed Robbery in Nashville

Two men apprehended after committing armed robbery on Lea Avenue.

Two individuals, identified as Marquise Deon Johnson and Marlow Spencer, were apprehended by Central Precinct officers in Nashville after allegedly committing an armed robbery on Lea Avenue. The incident involved two victims who were riding their scooters when they were reportedly approached by Johnson, 19, and Spencer, 18, who demanded the scooters at gunpoint.

Following the robbery, the suspects were spotted riding the stolen scooters on Shelby Avenue. They abandoned the scooters and attempted to flee on foot, but were soon captured by law enforcement. A search revealed that Spencer was in possession of a vehicle programmer, a window punch tool, and marijuana. Additionally, a loaded Glock pistol with a modification to make it fully automatic was found along his flight path.

Further investigation by authorities disclosed that the suspects had recently stolen items from a nearby gas station. Johnson, who has a history of aggravated robbery since age 16, was previously arrested on January 5th for multiple charges, including vehicle burglary. He now faces charges of aggravated robbery, theft, and evading arrest with a set bond of $204,000.

Spencer, previously arrested on January 31st for fleeing a stolen vehicle, is facing multiple charges including aggravated robbery, possession of burglary tools, and felony weapon possession. He is detained with a bond of $130,000. Both suspects have also been charged with an additional robbery from a February 5th incident.

Vehicle Break-Ins at Murfreesboro Hotels

The Murfreesboro Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle break-ins affecting 39 vehicles at hotels and an apartment building off Medical Center Boulevard. Occurring between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., the incidents involved smashed windows and theft, including five firearms. Surveillance captured three suspects in a white Nissan Maxima.
