Tennessee State Offices Closed on February 19 Due to Weather

Tennessee state offices closed due to winter storm threat on February 19.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In response to an incoming winter storm and the potential for hazardous travel conditions across parts of Tennessee, Governor Bill Lee has announced the closure of state offices in the West and Middle Grand Divisions for Wednesday, February 19. Despite the closure of physical offices, state services accessible online will continue to operate, and employees who are capable of working from home are encouraged to do so.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) remains vigilant, monitoring weather forecasts and coordinating with local, regional, and state partners to ensure preparedness and address any resource requests that may arise. Additionally, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is actively pre-treating interstates and state routes. Residents are advised to exercise caution and avoid non-essential travel in areas impacted by the weather conditions.
