Stolen Dodge Challenger Found Stripped in Nashville

Stolen Dodge Challenger found stripped in Nashville; two men arrested.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes division recently executed a search warrant at a garage located on the 5700 block of Cane Ridge Road in Nashville. The investigation revealed that the garage was used as a site where a stolen Dodge Challenger was stripped down to its shell. The vehicle was originally reported stolen in Murfreesboro on January 29th.

Two individuals, Jeremy Smith, 31, and Tyler Whitney, 29, were apprehended early Tuesday morning. They were discovered on Greer Road in a pickup truck towing a trailer. The trailer, partially covered by a tarp, contained the stripped Challenger. Initially, Smith claimed that he found the car abandoned on the roadside but later amended his statement, indicating that he picked it up from a property on Cane Ridge Road.

Both men are facing charges of vehicle theft and evidence tampering. They are currently held in custody with a bond set at $75,000 each. The investigation into this case is ongoing.
