Nashville Suspect Surrenders on Multiple Warrants

Whitney Warren, a wanted suspect, surrendered for nine outstanding warrants.

A 37-year-old woman, Whitney Warren, who was listed as one of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department’s (MNPD) Most Wanted suspects, voluntarily turned herself in yesterday. Warren was facing nine outstanding warrants that dated back to 2021. Her most recent charge involved the theft of a man’s Nissan Armada on January 23rd from a gas station located on Franklin Pike. The vehicle was left running as the owner went inside the store. Warren seized the opportunity and drove off with the vehicle.

The situation escalated as the victim’s wife and a friend, who were in a nearby vehicle, pursued Warren. During the high-speed chase on Interstate 65, Warren retrieved a Glock pistol from the stolen Armada and fired at the pursuing vehicle. Subsequently, she rammed the stolen vehicle into the pursuers’ car, which ended their pursuit. The two women returned to the gas station where the victim was speaking with officers.

Warren later crashed the stolen Armada on Nolensville Pike but managed to flee the scene on foot, taking the victim’s pistol and his wife’s Gucci purse. Prior to this incident, Warren already had several warrants from both MNPD and Berry Hill Police. These included an outstanding warrant for child endangerment and vehicle theft from January, when she allegedly stole a vehicle and left her 3-month-old child with a man without any necessities. The vehicle was later recovered, and the Department of Children’s Services was informed.

Additionally, Warren was wanted for a vehicle theft that occurred in June 2021, when she allegedly stole a Toyota Sienna minivan from a liquor store on Dickerson Pike. The MNPD Crime Lab confirmed that fingerprints found in the stolen van matched Warren’s.

Warren was booked on charges that included three counts of vehicle theft, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of child endangerment, one count of theft of a firearm, one count of theft, and one count of failure to render aid. She is currently being held on a $232,100 bond.
