A resident of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Immanuel Webb, 39, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison following a plea agreement related to charges of rape and attempted rape. Webb pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and one count of attempted rape in a hearing held on February 14 at the Rutherford County Circuit Court. Chancellor Howard Wilson delivered the sentence, which includes time to be served at the Tennessee Department of Correction.
The case involved three women who reported being assaulted while unconscious. Detective Emily Speed from the Crime Investigations Division commended the victims for their bravery in reporting the crimes, expressing hope that the sentence would provide them peace of mind. As part of the plea deal, several additional charges, including ten counts of rape, four counts of sexual battery, and one count of aggravated burglary, were dismissed. Webb is mandated to cover all court costs, register as a sex offender for life, and comply with other stipulated conditions post-release.

Webb’s legal troubles began with an initial indictment by a Rutherford County Grand Jury in July 2022, covering two counts of rape and one count of aggravated burglary. This expanded in July 2023 when a second victim came forward, leading to additional charges of seven counts of rape and two counts of sexual battery. An investigation uncovered numerous videos and photos on Webb’s cell phone showing other unidentified women being assaulted while unconscious. This led to a public appeal for further victims, resulting in a third victim stepping forward. Evidence from Webb’s phone confirmed her assault, prompting another indictment in October 2023 for three counts of rape and two counts of sexual battery.
Detective Speed expressed gratitude to the detectives and the Rutherford County 16th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office for their efforts in securing convictions.
