Memphis Driver Services Center Reopens After Remodel

The Memphis Driver Services Center reopens after remodeling with new features.

The Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Memphis/Summer Avenue Driver Services and Reinstatement Center, located at 5266 Summer Ave., Suite 75, is set to reopen to the public on Monday, February 10, following a planned remodel that began on October 16. The center will resume its regular business hours, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.

Visitors to the refurbished center will notice several updates, including fresh paint, updated flooring, and new furniture. The remodel also includes new workstations, credentialing equipment, and self-service kiosks designed to enhance the visitor experience.

These self-service kiosks allow customers to perform a variety of Driver Services transactions. Services include renewing or replacing a duplicate Driver License or ID Card, changing an address, updating emergency contact information, advancing a Teen/Graduated Driver License, paying reinstatement fees, and requesting a license reissue once reinstatement requirements are met. The kiosks are equipped to take photos and process payments using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit or debit card.
