Man Arrested for Drug-Related Shooting Incident

A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in a Nashville shooting.

An investigation by Specialized Investigations Division detectives led to the arrest of Yanathan Furline, a 21-year-old, who was wanted for a shooting that occurred on January 31 at an apartment complex located at 1613 Brentridge Circle in Nashville. The incident resulted in serious injury to a 23-year-old woman who was found with a gunshot wound to her thigh by responding officers. She was subsequently transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she received treatment and recovered.

According to the victim’s account, Furline visited her apartment with the intent to purchase marijuana. During the interaction, he allegedly pointed a firearm at her and shot her, which posed a risk to others in the densely populated apartment complex. The investigation revealed that Furline intended to sell the stolen marijuana.

Furline is now facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, felony drug possession, and reckless endangerment. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
