Homicide Unit detectives are actively working to identify the individual responsible for the fatal shooting of Ivorie Lee, 35, which occurred on Sunday night at the Z-Mart convenience store located at 803 Dickerson Pike. According to the investigation, Lee and another man met at the market for reasons currently unknown. During their interaction outside the building, Lee reportedly punched the man in the face, leading to the man pulling out a gun, shooting Lee, and then fleeing the scene. Lee was subsequently transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers have the option to remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
