Chattanooga Launches MyChattConnect App for Community Engagement

MyChattConnect app connects Chattanooga residents with local resources and events.

The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Community Development has introduced a new app called MyChattConnect, aimed at transforming how residents connect with community resources, stay informed, and participate in local programs. MyChattConnect is designed to empower and unite Chattanooga’s communities by providing easy access to services and events directly from users’ mobile devices.

Carol Hunter, Administrator for the Department of Community Development, expressed enthusiasm for the app’s potential impact, stating, “This app is designed to bridge the gap between residents and vital services, resources, and events. In today’s fast-paced world, easy access to community support and local happenings is essential. MyChattConnect makes it simpler than ever to stay connected and engaged with everything happening around you.”

MyChattConnect offers several key features:

– **Instant Access to Resources & Events**: Users can find Chattanooga’s 20 community centers, rent event spaces, explore daily activities, and discover new programs all in one platform.

– **Real-Time Connectivity**: The app provides push notifications and updates about community center activities, upcoming events, and available services.

– **Simplified Sign-Ins**: Starting in 2025, users will be able to scan a barcode directly from the app to check into community centers, eliminating the need for paper sign-ins.

– **Access to Social Services**: The app allows residents to access services such as utility assistance and social support.

– **Community Engagement**: Users can apply for the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) in their region through the app, enabling them to participate in shaping Chattanooga’s future programs and resources.

The MyChattConnect app is available for free download on both the Apple Store and Google Play. To download, users can text “App” to (423)-643-7300 for a direct link or visit registration.chattanooga.gov to create an account and start using the app.

Residents of Chattanooga are encouraged to join the conversation and take advantage of this new tool to discover, connect, and thrive in their community.
