19-Year-Old Arrested Following Street Racing Incident

A 19-year-old was arrested for drag racing and evading arrest in Nashville.

A street racing initiative conducted last night resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old who attempted to flee from officers on I-40 West in an Audi A5. The individual, identified as Brayden Hoffman from South Nashville, was observed drag racing and subsequently tried to evade law enforcement at a high speed. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) Aviation Unit followed Hoffman after he initially fled, noting speeds exceeding 120 miles per hour as he passed vehicles using the left shoulder of the road.

The pursuit concluded with a second traffic stop conducted on Murfreesboro Pike at Pin Hook Road, where Hoffman complied with officers. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities discovered a small quantity of marijuana and a pipe. Consequently, Hoffman was charged with drag racing, evading arrest, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in custody with a bond set at $34,000.

Nashville Police Seek Suspect in Camper Burglary

Detectives in Nashville are working to identify a man suspected of breaking into a camper on Cherokee Place, stealing three handguns. The suspect arrived in a gray Hyundai Sonata and used a pry bar to commit the burglary. The Nashville Police Department has released surveillance footage and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, offering a cash reward for information that leads to his identification.
