West Tennessee will experience various road construction activities from January 8-15, 2025, leading to potential daytime and nighttime lane closures across Region 4. In Carroll County, work on SR-76 (US-79) will continue, affecting lanes due to grading, drainage, and paving projects. Meadowbrook Lane and Big Buck Road remain closed, with detours in place. SR-22 will also see lane closures due to intersection improvements at Huntingdon Industrial Park.
In Dyer County, inspection work on the SR-211 bridge over the North Fork Forked Deer River will continue to cause lane closures. Gibson and Carroll Counties will also experience temporary lane closures on SR-76 (US-79) due to ongoing construction activities. Obion County will see similar disruptions on SR22 for resurfacing and bridge repair work.
Chester County’s U.S. 45 (SR 5) bridge repair work will cause lane closures for southbound traffic, while Hardin County will have temporary lane closures on SR128 over the Pickwick Dam. Madison County will experience lane closures for AT&T maintenance work on U.S. 45.
In District 49, Fayette County will see temporary lane closures on SR-222 and SR-76 due to road construction and traffic signal installations. Shelby County will have intermittent lane closures on SR-4, SR-14, and the I-240 at Exit 23 for various construction activities, including roadway widening and safety improvements. Additionally, the I-40 Hernando DeSoto Bridge will undergo maintenance leading to lane closures, with posted detours for affected routes.
Looking ahead, Shelby County will have additional closures on I-55 for bridge repair and inspection work from January 17-20, 2025, with necessary detours in place. Tipton County will experience lane closures on US-51 at Kenwood Avenue for safety improvements.
