The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Board of Control is set to convene on Thursday, January 16, at the TSSAA office in Hermitage. The meeting will commence at 9:00 a.m. CST. Among the key issues to be discussed is an appeal by Blackman High School regarding the second year of football probation following an incident at the end of a game against Oakland High School. Additionally, Manassas High School will appeal disciplinary measures taken after an altercation during a girls’ basketball game with Sheffield High School.
Furthermore, three schools are seeking exceptions to the Co-op rule. J. Frank White Academy is requesting an exception for baseball, while Independence Academy High School and Hillsboro High School are seeking exceptions for Girls’ Soccer and Lacrosse, respectively.
Financial reports for Boys’ and Girls’ Golf State championships, Girls’ Volleyball, Girls’ Soccer, Cross Country, Cheer and Dance, and the Football Playoffs will also be presented for the Board’s approval.
