Three Arrested After Traffic Stop in Antioch

Three men arrested after fleeing a traffic stop in Antioch, guns and drugs recovered.

Three individuals were apprehended in Antioch on Thursday night following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of firearms and illegal substances. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Division executed the arrests, which resulted in the recovery of several guns, nearly four pounds of marijuana, and 40 fentanyl pills.

The suspects, identified as Saibey Danjo, 19, Jonathan Patterson, 21, and Jalen Transley, 21, were traveling in a Chevrolet Malibu. Detectives noticed a marijuana odor emanating from the vehicle while stopped at a traffic light on Hamilton Church Road. The officers initiated a traffic stop as the vehicle proceeded to the vicinity of Old Hickory Boulevard and Logistics Way, at which point the vehicle attempted to flee.

The Malibu came to a halt on Carefree Lane, where the occupants attempted to escape on foot. After a brief pursuit, Transley, who was driving, along with passengers Danjo and Patterson, were detained. In the vehicle, police recovered a one-pound bag of marijuana from the front passenger floorboard, three handguns, and an AR-style pistol. One of the handguns, a Glock, was equipped with a switch for full automatic firing and an extended magazine.

Additionally, a backpack discarded during the foot chase contained approximately three pounds of marijuana, the fentanyl pills, and a digital scale. All three individuals face charges of marijuana possession, fentanyl possession, weapon possession, and evading arrest.
