Teen Arrested for Vehicle Theft Under Investigation

A 16-year-old is under investigation for vehicle theft and possible car break-ins.

Vehicle Crimes detectives successfully located a stolen Ford F-150 pickup truck at an apartment complex on Oakwood Avenue in East Nashville on Monday afternoon. A 16-year-old male attempted to drive the vehicle but fled on foot when officers approached. Following a brief pursuit, he was apprehended and charged in Juvenile Court with vehicle theft and evading arrest.

At the time of the incident, several other young men were observed near the pickup truck as the suspect drove away. Authorities are actively investigating the teen’s potential involvement in a series of vehicle break-ins and are working to identify the individuals who were with him.
