Ron Davis and Adam Todd, employees of the Water Department, have been recognized as October’s STARS award recipients. The STARS Service Excellence program acknowledges city employees who demonstrate exemplary service and adhere to the city’s core values. This award is intended to honor those who exceed their standard job responsibilities by delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.
On November 5, 2024, while driving along Broad Street, Ron and Adam noticed a woman who had fainted in the median. They promptly checked on her condition, called emergency services, and stayed with her until help arrived. Their swift response highlights their willingness to assist regardless of whether the situation involves a customer or a fellow employee.
STARS, an acronym for “Succeeding Through Attitudes Reflecting Service Excellence,” represents individuals who project a positive image of the city through their actions and contribute to an improved quality of life for its citizens. Each month, the STARS committee, composed of city employees, reviews nominations and votes on the nominees.
Congratulations to Ron Davis and Adam Todd for their well-deserved recognition as STARS award winners.
