A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night when a pedestrian was struck and killed on Murfreesboro Pike near Parks Retreat Drive in Nashville. The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Koriona Harding from Smyrna. According to the preliminary investigation, the driver of a Honda CRV was traveling southbound on Murfreesboro Pike. The driver swerved into the center lane to avoid a collision after the vehicle in front suddenly braked to avoid Harding, resulting in the Honda striking her. Unfortunately, Harding died at the scene.
The driver of the Honda CRV remained at the scene, while the vehicle responsible for the initial sudden braking did not stop. Harding’s vehicle was found a short distance away on Murfreesboro Pike, where it appeared to have broken down. No charges have been filed against the 21-year-old driver of the Honda CRV.
