Nashville Woman Arrested for Chronic Retail Theft

A Nashville woman faces numerous charges for repeated organized retail theft.

A 27-year-old Nashville woman, Orlexus Elliot, has been arrested and is currently held on a $102,500 bond. Elliot faces multiple charges including five counts of organized retail crime, nine counts of felony theft, and five counts of misdemeanor theft. Known for selling stolen merchandise on social media, Elliot was apprehended after being tracked by detectives from the Organized Retail Crimes Unit and an MNPD helicopter crew.

Elliot’s criminal activities have been captured on surveillance cameras in various retail stores across Nashville. Despite her previous convictions, she continued her theft activities. Her criminal record includes arrests for stealing jerseys from the Titans Pro Shop in November 2021, merchandise from a store in Goodlettsville in May 2021, items from Target on Charlotte Pike in March 2019, and goods from Victoria’s Secret in Rivergate Mall in August 2018, among others.

The current charges against Elliot involve thefts from numerous locations, including stealing nine handbags valued at $3,642 from Coach at Tanger Outlets and 20 coats valued at $3,365 from Polo Ralph Lauren at Opry Mills. She also stole 14 pairs of Prada glasses valued at $5,400 from LensCrafters, and various other items from stores such as Walgreens, Ace Hardware, Target, and Ulta, with the total value of stolen goods reaching tens of thousands of dollars.

Since 2016, Elliot has been charged with 58 offenses, including multiple counts of probation violation and failure to appear in court.

Five Arrested in Nashville Prostitution Sting

Five men were arrested in Nashville by a coordinated law enforcement effort involving local, state, and federal agencies, charged with promoting prostitution. The arrests were made at a suspected brothel on Hobson Pike. The operation, led by Homeland Security Investigations and supported by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and other agencies, uncovered evidence including business cards, ledgers, and drugs. Among those arrested was Gianfranco Augusto Barazarte-Morales, who faces multiple charges and is linked to a previous shooting incident. The investigation is part of an ongoing focus on prostitution activities in the area.
