Kidsville Family Walk Returns to Centennial Park

Centennial Park to host second annual Kidsville Family Walk on February 15, 2025.

The Centennial Park Conservancy has announced that the second annual Kidsville Family Walk, presented by Primrose Schools, will take place at Nashville’s Centennial Park on Saturday, February 15, 2025. The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free for families to attend. It will feature a range of activities designed to engage families with nature, including games and arts and crafts.

Justin Branam, Vice President of Programming for Centennial Park Conservancy, expressed enthusiasm about the event, highlighting its importance in providing a space for community gatherings and encouraging outdoor activity. The event aims to help families shake off winter blues and enjoy the park’s natural beauty.

Among the planned activities is a Storybook Walk featuring the children’s book “Plants Can’t Sit Still,” which will be set up at various stations along Lake Watauga. Additionally, Dancing People Nashville will host a dance party for children at the finish line. Arts and crafts activities will be available, and children can visit the Community Partner booths to earn a stamp and receive a participant medal. This medal also grants free admission to the Parthenon during the event hours.

The Country Music Hall of Fame® will host an Instrument Petting Zoo, offering children the chance to interact with musical instruments. Various local food trucks will provide food and beverages, including options from Roast & Brews, Roscoe’s Smoked Bar-B-Que, and The Inka Trailer.

Community partners involved in the Kidsville Family Walk include the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, Dancing People Nashville, Metro Parks Nature Centers, Primrose Schools, SafeSplash Swim School, and Vanderbilt Athletics.

The event is supported by a variety of sponsors, including the Advance Financial Foundation, Amazon, The ASCAP Foundation, and several others. Media partners include Mix 92.9, Nashville Parent, and Tennessee Tribune.
