Five Men Arrested in Nashville Prostitution Sting

Five men were arrested in a joint investigation for promoting prostitution in Nashville.

A coordinated effort involving local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies resulted in the arrest of five men on charges of promoting prostitution in Nashville. The arrests took place at a residence on Hobson Pike, which was suspected of operating as a brothel. The operation was led by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and supported by Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) detectives, as well as agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Upon executing a federal search warrant, law enforcement officials discovered that the upstairs area of the home had been converted into several small rooms dedicated to prostitution activities. Additionally, business cards, ledgers linked to prostitution, and over a pound of marijuana were confiscated.

Gianfranco Augusto Barazarte-Morales, 31, was among those arrested. He faces multiple charges, including promoting prostitution, felony marijuana possession, and evading arrest. Barazarte-Morales is also connected to a separate incident on September 17th, where he is accused of a non-critical shooting involving two men at another suspected brothel on Mt. View Road. For this incident, he has been charged with aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Others arrested include Felix Rafael Ortega, 27, charged with promoting prostitution, evading arrest, felony marijuana possession, and possession of “Tusi” (a mix of cocaine, ecstasy, fentanyl, and other drugs); Elmer Humberto Aparicio-Castillo, 27, charged with promoting prostitution, evading arrest, felony marijuana possession, and felony gun possession, with a firearm found in his possession by an ATF-trained dog.

Idenis Alexander Sanchez-Paredes, 22, faces charges of promoting prostitution, felony marijuana possession, evading arrest, and criminal impersonation. Wilfredo Jose Mata-Fornerino, 37, is charged with promoting prostitution, felony marijuana possession, and evading arrest.

This investigation is part of a larger, ongoing effort that has been underway for several months, indicating continued law enforcement focus on such activities in the area.
