Fatal Shooting at Hamilton Crossing Under Investigation

Detectives are investigating a targeted shooting outside Sky Bar Lounge in Nashville.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit are currently investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred early Monday morning on Hamilton Crossing. The victim, identified as 29-year-old Larry Jones, was shot outside the Sky Bar Lounge. According to initial reports, Jones was leaving the bar with a friend at approximately 1 a.m. when a male suspect approached from behind and opened fire.

After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene by running to a nearby vehicle and driving away. Jones was transported by a private vehicle to TriStar Century Farms Emergency Room, where he was pronounced dead.

The police are urging anyone with information related to this case to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Calls made to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous, and informants may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to solving the homicide.

Teen Arrested for Attempted Robbery in Nashville

A 16-year-old named Jabari Thomas was arrested in Nashville after attempting to rob a person at gunpoint for their car keys. The incident took place at an apartment complex on Zermatt Avenue. Officers from the Midtown Hills Precinct quickly responded, resulting in the suspect’s capture after a brief chase, during which a handgun was found. Thomas faces charges including aggravated robbery.
