Dyersburg Driver Services Center Remodel Announced

Dyersburg Driver Services Center will close for remodeling from January 21 to March 2025.

The Department of Safety and Homeland Security has announced that the Dyersburg Driver Services Center, located at 180 Highway 51 Bypass North, will temporarily close for a planned remodeling project starting on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The center is expected to reopen in March 2025.

During the closure, residents can access services at nearby Driver Services Centers, County Clerk’s partners, Self-Service Kiosks, or through online services available at tn.gov/safety/driver-services/online.html. Additionally, teenagers aged 15 to 17 can complete the knowledge test online with parental or guardian supervision using the Tennessee Proctor Identification (PID) app. More information about the online knowledge test can be found at tn.gov/safety/driver-services/teengdl/knowledge-test-online.html.

Nightly Lane Closures on I-24 for Utility Work

Motorists traveling on I-24 in Hamilton County, Chattanooga, should anticipate possible delays due to nightly lane closures from mile marker 177 to 183 for interstate lighting repairs. The closures, affecting the inside lane from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., will continue through Friday morning, subject to weather conditions. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, follow signage, and stay informed about traffic conditions via the TDOT SmartWay Map or by calling 511.
