Detectives Seek Help Identifying Vehicle in I-40 Murder

Nashville police seek public help identifying a Honda minivan tied to a murder.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department are requesting assistance from the public in identifying the driver or owner of a Honda Odyssey minivan linked to the murder of Uriel Miller. The incident occurred on January 12 on Interstate 40 east, just past the Fesslers Lane exit.

Uriel Miller, a 26-year-old resident of Rutherford County, was fatally shot after a silver Honda Odyssey minivan, believed to be from around the 2015 model year, fired shots at his car. The attack was captured on a dash cam video from a nearby tractor-trailer. The footage shows the minivan closely trailing Miller’s Crown Victoria sedan before changing lanes and pulling alongside his vehicle on the passenger side, where shots were fired. Miller’s car eventually came to rest against the retaining wall between the interstate’s east and west travel lanes.

The police have released images of the suspect vehicle and are urging anyone with information to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Informants can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000.
