Chief John Drake of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has announced the promotion of three officers to the rank of sergeant, effective tomorrow. This decision aims to address supervisory vacancies within the precincts.
Robert Leverick, a veteran of six years with the MNPD currently serving as a Youth Services detective, will assume a supervisory position on the overnight shift at the Midtown Hills Precinct. Leverick holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bradley University.
John McDonnell, who has served with the MNPD for five years and is currently an Organized Retail Crime detective, will be promoted to supervisor on the evening shift at the North Precinct. He possesses an Associate’s Degree from Thomas Nelson Community College.
Peter Vaught, a nine-year veteran of the MNPD and currently a detective in the Specialized Investigations Division, will take on a supervisory role on the overnight shift at the South Precinct. Vaught has a Bachelor’s Degree from Pensacola Christian College.
