The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will temporarily halt lane closure activities on interstates and state highways from noon on Wednesday, November 27, until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, to accommodate increased traffic volumes during this period. Exceptions may occur for necessary daytime or nighttime repairs across various locations in Region 4, which encompasses 21 counties.
In District 47, Carroll County will see closures on SR-76 (US-79) and SR-22 due to ongoing grading, drainage, and paving projects. Meadowbrook Lane and Big Buck Road remain closed with detours in place. In Dyer County, SR-211 will have lane closures for bridge inspection over the North Fork Forked Deer River, and I-155 will experience temporary closures for resurfacing.
District 48 includes repair work in Chester County on U.S. 45 bridges, while Crockett and Gibson Counties will see resurfacing on SR 152. Decatur County’s SR 69 will have temporary lane closures for resurfacing, as will Hardin County’s SR 69 and SR 128 over the Pickwick Dam. Madison County’s U.S. 412 will undergo resurfacing, and Haywood County will have nighttime lane closures on I-40 at various mile markers.
In District 49, Fayette County’s SR-222 and SR-76 will undergo construction and traffic signal installation. Shelby County will have nighttime closures along SR-3, SR-175, and SR-4 for resurfacing and widening activities. The I-40 Hernando de Soto Bridge will have intermittent closures from December 3 to December 5, and continued work is planned through December 20. SR-14 and I-55 in Shelby County will see temporary closures for grading and ITS maintenance.
