WeGo Offers Special New Year’s Eve Transit Services

WeGo provides special bus and train services for New Year’s Eve in Nashville.

WeGo Public Transit in Nashville is set to offer special services on December 31, 2024, to facilitate New Year’s Eve festivities. The transit services include shuttle operations between Broadway and the Bicentennial Mall, as well as a WeGo Star special event train to ensure a safe commute for those celebrating.

For bus services, WeGo will follow a weekday schedule on December 31, with modifications for Downtown detours. After midnight, passengers are advised to board buses at the Elizabeth Duff Transit Center located at WeGo Central, 400 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd., to avoid disruptions due to unexpected road closures. Major corridor routes will continue until 1:15 a.m., with departures from WeGo Central at 12:15 a.m., 12:45 a.m., and 1:15 a.m.

– 7 Hillsboro Pike

– 22 Bordeaux

– 23 Dickerson Pike

Park & Ride options are offered outside Downtown for select late-night routes at locations such as Vanderbilt University parking lots (Route 3), Bellevue Park & Ride (Route 3B), and others.

WeGo will run a bus service between Broadway and the concert/fireworks at Bicentennial Mall from 6:15 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The buses will loop continuously between 7th Avenue North and the Bicentennial Mall, with a frequency of approximately every 10 minutes.

For those preferring the train, the WeGo Star offers a special New Year’s Eve service, arriving at Riverfront Station at 8 p.m. and departing one hour after the event concludes. Tickets are priced at $15 plus a $2 processing fee and can be purchased at ticketsnashville.com.

The train schedule includes stops at:

Lebanon Station at 7:00 p.m.

– Hamilton Springs Station at 7:08 p.m.

– Martha Station at 7:15 p.m.

– Mt. Juliet Station at 7:25 p.m.

– Hermitage Station at 7:35 p.m.

– Donelson Station at 7:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, buses will transport passengers directly to Bicentennial Mall. Return buses will load on James Robertson between 6th and 7th Avenues between midnight and 1 a.m., heading back to Riverfront Station.
