The BRAG grants stem from the Rural Brownfield Redevelopment Investment Act. This act aims to protect the environment and foster economic opportunities, particularly in rural areas. It provides local governments and development boards with the necessary resources for the investigation, cleanup, and redevelopment of blighted properties.
