Teen Arrested in Connection to Nashville Homicide

A 15-year-old was arrested for a fatal shooting outside a Nashville club.

A 15-year-old named Yariel Sandoval has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Ashley Dominguez. The incident occurred on December 1 outside an after-hours club located on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville. The arrest followed a collaborative effort between the Homicide Unit and the TITANS Unit detectives, along with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department’s (MNPD) Community Safety Center operators and Clarksville Police.

The investigation revealed that a heated argument took place before shots were fired at a vehicle carrying five individuals, including Dominguez, who was seated in the rear passenger seat. Ashley Dominguez sustained injuries and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she later died. Two other women, both aged 19, were also injured in the incident but were treated and released.

The swift action by a Community Safety Center operator at MNPD Headquarters was instrumental in capturing video footage of the shooting, which helped identify Sandoval as a suspect. Sandoval was located and apprehended in Clarksville on outstanding warrants for criminal homicide, among other charges. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to assess the involvement of other individuals in the case.
