Reward Offered for Information in 2022 Road Rage Murder

A reward is offered for information on the 2022 road rage murder in Nashville.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) continues its investigation into the road rage incident on Christmas Day 2022 that resulted in the death of Christopher Spaunhorst, a 37-year-old father from Greenbrier. The MNPD is offering a $23,000 reward, with an additional potential $5,000 from Crime Stoppers, for any information leading to the arrest or indictment of the suspect. The incident involved a black 2016-2017 Kia Optima sedan.

Christopher Spaunhorst was fatally shot while driving his Ford F-150 pickup truck on I-24 West between the Shelby Avenue and James Robertson Parkway exits. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the murder to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

Nashville Man Charged in Pedestrian Hit and Run

Michael D. Williams, 54, has been charged with vehicular assault and other offenses after a hit and run incident in Nashville critically injured a pedestrian. The accident occurred when Williams lost control of his vehicle during a turn, striking the pedestrian on the sidewalk. Surveillance footage showed excessive acceleration on a wet road, and Williams fled the scene but was later apprehended.
