Terrence Devol London, II, a 34-year-old resident of Nashville, Tennessee, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison. The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Thomas J. Jaworski for the Middle District of Tennessee. In March 2023, a federal jury found London guilty of illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and controlled substance offenses.
Previously, in 2018, London was sentenced to 72 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, on similar federal drug and weapons charges. After being released, he repeatedly violated the terms of his supervised release. Violations included removing an electronic monitoring device and leaving home confinement. During his arrest by Deputy U.S. Marshals, London was found with a loaded firearm, fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and over $9,000 in cash.
Acting U.S. Attorney Thomas J. Jaworski emphasized the importance of prosecuting individuals under court supervision who re-offend, stating that such offenders would be held accountable and face serious consequences. This case was investigated by several agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the United States Marshals Service, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, and the Gallatin Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Rascoe Dean and Nicholas J. Goldin prosecuted the case.
