The incidents include a recent attack on a 62-year-old woman at the Family Dollar parking lot located at 2937 Nolensville Pike. During this incident, the victim was placing items in her vehicle when a car parked beside her. A man exited the passenger side, grabbed the victim, and after a struggle, took her purse, causing her to fall and injure her head on the pavement. She was subsequently taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
The police suspect this robbery is linked to three other incidents:
1. On November 28, at 6:40 a.m., a 27-year-old woman was approached by a man with a handgun and a woman as she left her Packard Drive apartment. They demanded her purse, and after she complied, her 8-year-old daughter ran back to their apartment.
2. On November 26, at 7:40 p.m., a 55-year-old woman was beaten with a metal object by a man and a woman as she exited her vehicle at her apartment on the 5100 block of Greenleaf Drive. The victim suffered a severe head laceration and was treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
3. On November 15, at 12:45 p.m., a 67-year-old woman was approached by a woman asking for money while unloading groceries at her Tusculum Road home. The woman pushed her and stole her purse, though the victim was unharmed.
The suspects are believed to be using an older white sedan. The male suspect is described as a short black man. The female suspect was identified as white in the Packard Drive and Greenleaf Drive incidents, and as a black woman in the Tusculum Road and Family Dollar cases.
