Murfreesboro Police Seek Suspects in Weekend Shooting

Police are searching for suspects involved in a Murfreesboro shooting that injured two people.

Murfreesboro, Tenn. – (December 16, 2024) – Detectives from the Murfreesboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Division Violent Crimes Unit are actively searching for a gunman and other individuals connected to a shooting incident over the weekend that left two individuals critically injured. The authorities are reaching out to the community for assistance in locating those responsible for the crime.

The incident occurred at the Clarion Inn on Old Fort Parkway on Saturday, December 14, at 11:11 p.m., following a shots fired call. Preliminary investigations suggest that a man and a woman were shot after multiple rounds were fired into the rear of their car by a gunman. In an attempt to flee, the victims’ vehicle collided with a retaining wall and came to a stop in the front parking lot. It is believed that the individuals may have followed the victims into the hotel parking area prior to the shooting.

Murfreesboro Police Department officers provided initial medical assistance until Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived and took over the care. The victims were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The shooter and several accomplices fled the scene in a vehicle, and their current whereabouts are unknown. Detectives are encouraging anyone with information about the identities or locations of these individuals to reach out. Two Arrested with Firearms and Drugs in Nashville
