Metro Action Announces 2025 Funding for Youth Employment

Metro Action offers 2025 funding for youth employment programs in Nashville.

The Metropolitan Action Commission (MAC) has announced new funding opportunities for 2025, targeting area businesses, non-profits, and community organizations in Nashville. The initiative aims to create meaningful work projects for youth aged 14-15 years old. This follows a successful partnership last summer where over 1,426 youth from Davidson County were employed by MAC in collaboration with more than 100 Metro Departments and city organizations. The program provided $1.2 million in wages to the young participants.

The 2025 funding will cover the costs of materials needed for the work experiences, while MAC will continue to provide work stipends for the youth involved. The POWER Youth Summer Employment program will run from June 2 to July 18 and will offer project-based work experiences covering areas such as academics, arts, music, and athletics.

Organizations applying for this funding are expected to integrate career exploration, development, and healthy lifestyle initiatives to prepare Nashville’s youth for successful adulthood. The deadline for application submissions is Tuesday, January 21 at 4:30 p.m. Central Standard Time.
