Knoxville Murder Suspect Captured in Nashville

Murder suspect apprehended at Nashville bus station by undercover detectives.

Undercover detectives from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department’s TITANS Unit apprehended 21-year-old Kevin Martinez, a suspect in a Knoxville murder, outside the Greyhound bus station in Nashville. Martinez was preparing to board a bus to California when he was detained. The arrest followed a request for assistance from Knoxville Police who sought Martinez in connection with the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man on December 19th. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, MNPD detectives, in collaboration with TBI agents, worked to locate Martinez, ultimately finding him at the bus station. He was taken into custody without incident when he stepped outside for a cigarette. Arrangements are being made for Martinez’s return to Knoxville.

Carjacking Suspect Arrested in Clarksville

A 22-year-old Clarksville man, Richmond F. Cheah, was arrested for allegedly carjacking a 62-year-old woman in a Green Hills Mall parking garage. After the victim complied with his demands, Cheah drove off in her Mercedes. Authorities used tracking technology to locate the stolen vehicle and apprehended Cheah in Clarksville. He faces charges of aggravated robbery and will be transferred to Davidson County for further proceedings.
