Investigation Underway in Fatal Shooting at William Pitts Park

Detectives are investigating a targeted shooting at William Pitts Park in Nashville.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday night at 9:45 p.m. in the rear parking lot of William Pitts Park, located off Tusculum Road. The victim, an unidentified man, was found on Sunday evening, having been shot multiple times while seated in the driver’s seat of his Infiniti sedan. The vehicle was backed into a parking space at the time of the incident.

Inside the car, authorities discovered a jar of marijuana and a pistol in a holster. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is working to identify the victim through fingerprint analysis.

Convicted Felon Arrested After Nashville Shootout

Ladon Ervin, a 41-year-old convicted felon, has been arrested following a shootout at a Nashville carwash, marking his third arrest this year. The incident involved an exchange of gunfire between Ervin and another unidentified man. Ervin, who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, was charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault, and is currently held on a $190,000 bond.
