Florida Arrests Linked to Nashville January Murder

Two suspects in a Nashville murder were arrested in Florida.

A traffic stop by the Florida Highway Patrol on Wednesday led to the arrest of Charvelle Clark, 46, and Nikki Landry, also known as Nikki O’Brien, 36. The two individuals have been indicted for the murder of David White, an over-the-road truck driver, who was fatally shot on January 7 near East Nashville’s Love’s Truck Stop on Lucas Lane.

The investigation, conducted by Homicide Unit Detectives Madison Meiss and Blake Lutz, concluded with charges of second-degree murder against Clark and Landry. According to the allegations, a dispute between the suspects and the victim resulted in the shooting, with White found deceased in his truck the following morning.

Both Clark and Landry are currently held in Holmes County Jail in Bonifay, Florida, as fugitives from Nashville. Arrangements are being made to return them to Nashville for further legal proceedings.
