The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards luncheon, held in 2024, recognized the most outstanding high school football players in Tennessee. The event took place at Nissan Stadium, drawing more than 400 attendees, including honorees, their families, coaches, school administrators, and media representatives from across the state.
Mark Reeves, Executive Director of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA), emphasized the significance of the honor, noting that the 30 young men recognized were selected not only for their athletic prowess but also for their exemplary character and academic achievements.
Burke Nihill, President and CEO of the Titans, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the organization’s commitment to supporting high school and youth football programs. He praised the honorees for their determination on the field and their character off the field, recognizing them as future leaders.
The process for selecting the winners involved nominations from high school head coaches and media members, with a committee of statewide sports writers making the final selections based on regular-season performance, academics, and character. The awards covered the top players in each of the nine classifications of the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association, as well as recognizing the top kickers in the state.
