West Tennessee Construction Alerts: November 13-20, 2024

Lane closures in West Tennessee for construction and maintenance activities.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has scheduled various construction and maintenance projects across West Tennessee from November 13 to November 20, 2024. These activities will result in both daytime and nighttime lane closures in several areas, affecting 21 counties in the region.

**District 47 Updates:**

– **Benton County:** I-40 resurfacing from S.R. 69 to the Humphreys County line will cause nighttime lane closures. Resurfacing on SR 391 will also lead to temporary lane closures.

– **Carroll County:** Work on SR-76 (US-79) from near SR 77 to near Cutlip Lane will involve lane closures. Meadowbrook Lane is closed starting September 16, 2024, and Big Buck Road will close on November 11, 2024, with detours provided. SR-22 intersection improvements will also cause lane closures.

– **Dyer County:** Bridge repair on US 412 (SR 20) over the North Fork Forked Deer River will result in lane restrictions. Starting August 9, 2024, lane closures for inspection on SR-211 are expected. I-155 resurfacing will also cause temporary lane closures.

– **Gibson/Carroll County:** Construction on US 79 (SR 76) will involve temporary lane closures. Traffic was shifted to new lanes on November 11, with ongoing lane closures for final work.

– **Henry/Weakley County:** Resurfacing on SR-22 will cause lane closures.

– **Obion County:** Resurfacing on SR22 including bridge repair will result in lane closures.

**District 48 Updates:**

– **Chester County:** Bridge repairs on U.S. 45 will lead to lane closures for southbound traffic starting October 1, 2024.

– **Crockett and Gibson County:** Resurfacing on SR 152 from US 412 to U.S. 70A will cause lane closures, with one lane open at all times.

– **Decatur County:** SR 69 resurfacing will cause lane closures, with one lane open at all times.

– **Hardin County:** SR 69 resurfacing and SR 128 bridge rehabilitation may cause lane closures, but one lane will remain open.

– **Henderson County:** I-40 resurfacing from Exit 101 to Exit 108 will involve nighttime lane closures for milling and paving operations.

**District 49 Updates:**

– **Fayette County:** Construction on SR-222 and SR-76 will result in lane closures with speed limits reduced.

– **Lauderdale County:** SR-371 resurfacing will cause lane closures.

– **Shelby County:** Resurfacing and construction activities on SR-3, SR-175, and SR-4 will involve nightly lane closures. The I-55 interchange modification will result in lane closures and detours. Additional work on SR-23 and the Sam Cooper ramp will cause temporary lane closures.

– **Tipton County:** Safety improvements on US-51 (SR-3) at Kenwood Avenue will lead to lane closures.

**Non-TDOT Work:** Long-term lane closures on SR-177 in Shelby County for road widening and intersection improvements will be in effect.
