TSSAA Board of Control Holds November Meeting

The TSSAA Board of Control met to discuss classification appeals and membership requests.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Board of Control convened on November 21, 2024, in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. The meeting focused on several key topics, including appeals from various schools regarding their district and region alignments for the upcoming 2025-2029 cycle. Detailed outcomes of these appeals are available in the meeting summary.

Additionally, the Board reviewed eight proposals for amendments to the TSSAA Bylaws, which had been discussed at the Regional Meetings earlier in the year. The Legislative Council is scheduled to vote on these proposals in December.

During the session, the Board approved membership requests from three institutions: Tipton Christian Academy, Zion Christian Academy, and Redemption School of Worship. However, the decision concerning Valley Christian Academy’s membership request was postponed until January. This delay is due to their request for a co-op exception, which may be resolved through a proposal to be considered by the Legislative Council in December.
