The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards, recognizing the top high school football players in Tennessee, will take place on December 10, 2024, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. The awards will honor outstanding players from nine classifications within the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association, including a special award for the top kicker in the state.
The announcement of five semifinalists for each classification, along with the Kicker of the Year category, marks the latest step in the selection process. Division I consists of six classifications, and Division II has three. On November 26, Mike Keith and Titans head coach Brian Callahan will reveal the top three finalists for each award category. The announcement will be live-streamed on the Tennessee Titans’ website, app, and social media channels.
A committee of sports writers across the state has selected the semifinalists based on their performance during the 2024 regular season, as well as their academic achievements and character. The finalists were nominated by high school head coaches and media members.
Mark Reeves, Executive Director of TSSAA, expressed gratitude for the Titans’ involvement, saying, “They have helped make the recognition of these 50 student-athletes, their families, and schools possible.” The partnership between the Titans and TSSAA has been ongoing for 18 years, contributing to the recognition and support of high school athletics in Tennessee.
The Mr. Football Awards, now in their 40th year, will present a trophy to the winners in each category, while the other finalists will receive plaques or certificates. Mike Keith will host the awards presentation, which will also be available via live video stream on the Titans’ website.
The list of semifinalists includes athletes from various schools across Tennessee, demonstrating the depth of talent within the state’s high school football programs.
